My second thought

I received a save-the-date in the mail for a college friend who is getting married in August. My first thought was how happy I was for her. My second thought?
Do you think they'll have a baby before we do?

I have been thinking that about every single wedding! I'm glad I am not alone.

I am praying that you get to beat someone to the punch. Perhaps that will come to light this June?

That happens to me too.

I've been there as well. I long for the day when that second thought doesn't pop up.

Found your blog through Lost and Found. Read back a few weeks... my mom is a HUGE Gone with the Wind fan but she is opposite of you, read the book once, seen the movie 12 times. :)

I have had the same feelings with wedding announcements. My girlfriend just got married this past November and I'm ready for the bomb to be dropped any day now. I'm with Malloryn... longing for the day when you didn't think that.

Looking forward to getting to know you more!

Found your blog through Farrah's (Fertilized)....

I think the EXACT same thing! My younger brother is getting married next month & it makes me cry just thinking about that happening. And others in church, work, etc... One couple got married in December & became pregnant the next month. Ugh.

One of my childhood friends is getting married in August and I'm already dreading her pregnancy announcement.

wow, this is wonderful.. i have just started reading blogs and I had no idea how not alone in my journey I am!

I would have thought and have thought that exact same thing...

We now count 40 babies born since we have started trying... all be it- one set of trips and 2 sets of twins, but still... urgh!

I usually have the same thought. I have a cousin who isn't even engaged yet, but I can just feel it coming and know she'll be PG on the honeymoon. Just like everyone else in my family. It sucks being right.

You can't help but think like that. I know that I have. It's the curse of infertility.....

XOXO

Oh yeah. And with one exception, I've always been right. Ugh.

My little brother is 10 years younger than me. He's living with his gf and they'll probably get engaged later this year. Every family get-together, I brace myself for their announcement - and they're not even married yet.
