Although our childlessness has been resolved with the arrival of our beloved son, I still sporadically ponder the effects of infertility here. Mommy-related material can be found at Critter Tales
Despite my normal carnivorous nature and all the protein-emphasized diets I have been on, it appears that pregnancy may render me a vegetarian. Even the thought of meat isn't sitting too well.
And I am just the opposite. I have always been a HUGE veggie eater. I would load my plate with veggies and then just a little bit of meat. But now... ugh.... it's all I can do to maybe get in ONE serving of veggies. *gag*
All I could eat was pure carbs for the first 11 weeks...then I went on a meat eating binge like nothing I had ever seen before. Crazy what your body does.
My OB just told me to eat whatever I could keep down in the first tri and worry about nutrition later. I loved that advice ;)

It happens. Your body likes and dislikes weird things right now

Meat though? Yeah, bring that on!
For me, it is mostly the thought of raw meat. And since I do all the cooking...well, I'm not eating much meat either.
I was like that until about fourteen weeks. I only wanted salads and fruits, NO meat. Then, all of a sudden, the meat cravings hit me hard.
I am still just so in awe of your pregnancy.
I had a veggie friend who only wanted beef too.
