It appears that my luteal phase is mysteriously shortening since this month and last it was only 12 days. Coupled with a somewhat early ovulation (cycle day 14) this month, I was sort of blindsided by a short cycle of only 26 days.
On to cycle 21 . . .

My cycle has been weird lately too. Last month was only 24 days. It is messing with my head.
Honestly, I have to say that I have NO idea why my cycles vary so much. I look back at my FF charting and it's like...28 one month -- 45 the next -- 36, 34...and weirdly? The doctor didn't seem that concerned...
I mean, she assured me that the follistim was going to help me 'improve' my ovulation...but I found it frustrating that no one told me why I was varying so much -- so perhaps a little variation is normal...
for me though it was useful to find out that my low progesterone was causing the shorter LP.
Gosh, I hate it when cycles don't do what they are supposed to.
Mine started to shorten a couple of years ago. It is so disorienting. I had a couple of 24-day cycles. We assumed at first that I had a luteal phase defect, though all my hormonal tests came back normal. As it turns out, we think that the endometrial polyps might have played a role.
It's annoying, I know!
XOXO
Sounds frustrating. But on the bright side, I think a 12 day LP is still OK.
I hope Cycle 21 is lucky for you!!
