Yes, I am still wearing heels!

The nurse at the OB's commented with surprise that I was "still wearing heels" given how pregnant I am. No, I wasn't wearing my python Jimmy Choos slides or anything here, just a pair of chunky-ish pumps with little buckles on the top. I got a similar comment on church when wearing some peep-toed Carlos Santanas. I intend to continue to wear shoes with a heel until I no longer own a pair (or can't find one to buy) that I can shove my sausage feet into. I'm pregnant, not dead.

Anyhow, the appointments this morning revealed that at last week's ultrasound, baby was 4 pounds, 15 ounces, thus the 77th percentile. The OB also confirmed that she efinitely will induce or perform a c-section as appropriate December 2 if I haven't gone into labor before then. At my NST, I actually had a contraction over the 40 minutes I was hooked up. But just the one and I didn't even feel it. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't seen it on the monitor. Baby was a cooperative little squirmer.

So, 41 days and counting. Perhaps, I should pack some strappy sandals in my hospital bag for labor?

Jimmy Choo....*sigh*

Good for you. I'm so jealous. I haven't been able to wear ANYTHING but flip flops for about 8 weeks. I can't even get my feet into a pair of UGGS.

Ugh. (heh)

So carry on sister. I hope you're still wearing them when you go into labor!

Oh...and sorry about the double shower. That stinks!

I only have the one pair of tennis shoes that still fit. And I am too stingy to buy anymore. I've been like this for ages though.

I think it was just me who felt so physically awful- AND couldn't reach her feet to strap up shoes who didn't wear heels after her first trimester :)

Oh- and when I used to see patients after knee replacement surgyer, it amazed me how many of the women brought HEELS to wear in the hospital. Really.

I am so impressed you're still in heels. I spent about 3 years only wearing heels, but I just feel lazier nowadays. Maybe I'll pull some out for tomorrow - with you as inspiration.

Love it!

I bought a pair of black chunky-ish pumps when I first got pregnant and I'm still wearing them. I actually find them more comfortable than flats.

Being a shorty, I feel like I always need to be wearing some sort of heel or I look like a stump. I would be very unhappy if I had to stop wearing them now when I really need to feel less... short and round.

Oh - and the double shower really does suck.

Sounds like a good book title. ;-)

I looooooove peep toes! I don't have any. But I love them anyway. ;)
