is set for Thursday afternoon. The fasting numbers are just too high and creeping higher.
What was humorous to me is that the nurse on the phone was trying to reassure me about the insulin injections and how they aren't that bad and I was just questioning are they sub-q or IM and where did they need to be injected and reassuring HER that I would be just fine. What she described seemed laughable compared to an injectables cycle and certainly much less than an ivf round.
I have my regular OB appointment on Friday, so will have to consult with her about what my schedules are going to look like now. Pretty sure she will have me in for NSTs twice a week as that is what she mentioned. And we may be looking at Thanksgiving baby (which is 38 weeks for me).

I like your perspective of the ease of the possible insulin injections vs. an injectables cycle. I had not thought of that. Some irony. I am sorry this is happening. I find it interesting and puzzling that your fasting levels are creeping up as your progress, but that your after meal levels are normal. What would cause that? But it really sounds as though you are wrapping your mind around it and your plan for dealing with it is coming together. I can't imagine a better time to have your baby than Thanksgiving!
There ya go!! Keep your chin up
Oh, insulin shots are nothing. You'll totally be able to handle those. Little tiny pen needles. I actually have one of Matt's on my desk right now. It's 31G and 8mm and I bet they give you even smaller ones.
Excellent attitude! I admire it...I've gotten so whiny lately.
I hope it all turns out to be manageable - you certainly sound like you know what you're doing.
And a Thanksgiving baby! WOW! Why does everyone's pregnancy seem to be flying by except mine? : )
Take care!
First off, I am sorry you have to go on insulin, since you have been so meticulous about everything. But, the insulin needles are much more doable than anything you saw in your injects cycle. I used them for my Ovidrel Microdose.
I like the sound of a Thanksgiving baby.
That is pretty humorous. :) I had to chuckle at my pharmacist who was quite alarmed at my trigger shot. I was like, "Seriously? I think I can handle a trigger." sigh
