Maybe I am crazy and don't know it?

I have been on the Clomid three days now and no noticeable side effects. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop because I know so many women have experienced some really terrible side effects. I know some women have described their experiences as feeling like they were going crazy. So, I wonder if I going crazy, but just am unaware?

I thought for sure I would have headaches, at a minimum, since I have a tendency to get hormonal migraines anyway. But so far nothing. Of course, now that I have posted this I will probably get some killer side effects as a jinx. And part of me wonders if the Clomid is actually working in there if I'm not feeling anything. And to swing to the other end of the spectrum, I always worry about too many follicles since this is my first medicated cycle and we have no idea how I'll respond. It seems rather aggressive to have started with 100 mg of Clomid followed by 2 daily vials of injects when we know I ovulate.

GIven my flip-floppy thinking, maybe I am crazy.

The only side effect I had from Clomid was hot flahes and those were mild to moderate. No biggie at all. I just considered myself lucky. Even when they bumped me from 50mg to 100mg, I didn't notice much of a difference.

You are not crazy! Unless of course we both are...LOL

You know weirdly I had few side effects with Clomid other than the hot flashes at night -- and overall I thought I felt...better??! I, selfishly, hope that 'the upper midwest' means that you live in the Twin Cities area like me...I'm waiting on my second round of Clomid with IUI right now...(first IUI though). We just had our injectible consult today...on to the big guns. Soon (eeek).

I didn't have any side effects with Clomid, either. Nor did I experience any side effects with the injects. My first medicated cycle is in progress right now, and my RE started me off on what sounds like the same protocol you are using. I, too, ovulate on my own, but in my doctor's words -- I don't have too many years to wait. So -- the fairly aggressive protocol was to ensure that I got a few really good follicles. I did!

maybe you will be lucky. i never had any real noticable effects from clomid either. perhaps a bit more emotional, but nothing too serious. my pms symptoms were more intense, but i missed out on the serious crazy-making. hopefully you will too!

Thanks for the encouragement. Nice to know Clomid doesn't drive everyone nuts.

Hey there!

My worse side effects from clomid came at the last 2 pills and after ovulation. If they come, it's often then. You may have none though. I've heard that women with pcos and other hormonal issues sometimes have the most problems with clomid. (i.e. ME)

Good luck hon!
