Stumble

Last night, I had a bit of a scare when I fell as we were walking on the sidewalk after dinner. There was a chunk of sidewalk missing (apparently, people here are not nearly litigious enough so that the sidewalks are kept up) and I didn't see it and stepped in it and lost my footing. I landed pretty hard on my rear. I have enough padding on that end, but I was ab it freaked out. I ended up calling the OB who didn't think much of it. I really wished I'd had that doppler now (still waiting to receive it).

In her comment to my last post, fiddle suggests reading The Red Tent. I second her recommendation if you haven't read it yet.

I fell pretty hard on the stairs early on too, and everything was fine. Don't worry!

I'm so glad you're ok. My mom fell down the stairs with my brother-and he's ok now! Don't worry too much but I hope that for your peace of mind, the doppler arrives soon.

I'm sorry for that stumble! You will be so excited when that doppler arrives. Mine came yesterday and we tore into the box immediately. Hopefully that UPS man will get on the ball today and bring it to you!

I also fell on my side, right around where you are in pregnancy. It scared me, but baby boy was fine. Soon, you will be feeling kicks and will be able to tell how your little one is doing from that! It's so reassuring!

And just wait for the third trimester - I am tripping, stumbling, and falling over everything. Clumsy doesn't even begin to describe me!
