I had my growth ultrasound today. Baby was at 67th percentile again and estimated to be 6 lbs. 10 oz. Baby is still measuring about two weeks ahead overall, but that huge head is at over 39 weeks. The head is already a little over 9 cm. I am not sure how that is going to work since dilation only goes up to 10 cm?
But at least we are talking more like an 8 lb baby if I go to December 2, which is only THREE weeks from today. The very cool thing is I got to see baby "practice breathing." And I had a significant contraction on the NST today, so that was something new.

I can't believe you are so close!
I don't know for sure, but I imagine there is a good bit of stretching involved in that measurement difference.
Yay for just three more weeks! I'm glad all was well today.
here's to 8 lbs instead of 10. I'm not sure what to say about the head though. I'm sure it will all work out somehow. Wow! Only three more weeks. What a Christmas you're going to have!
First of all: yeah! I am so excited for you. I can't wait until you are holding your baby in your arms. Just remember, women have been having babies since the begining of time. You are a strong women and you can do it!
In other news...I hearted your blog. See my blog for details!
That is so good! You are doing such a good job!!! How amazing to see the baby practice breathing. I have heard that measurements this late in the pregnancy can be off substantially, so perhaps the baby is smaller than they measured.
Thanks for your message, and best wishes!
Abe
Eight pounts - much more manageable than ten! I'm glad everything is looking good and can't believe how close you are to the big day.
Are you still in your heels?
